Smart Stuff For British Gas
An online film, commissioned by Outside Line, explaining the benefits and functionality of the new Smart Meter technology for customers.
In order to combine the actor’s movements with the CG, the performance was tightly storyboarded, rehearsed and a rough test was filmed and edited. The final performance was then filmed against green screen.
Once edited, the footage was composited with a new background replacing the green studio. The actor’s movements were tracked and 2D motion graphics and 3D animation were added. All graphics were designed by Ian Cross and Stuart Hilton. Additional 3D animation was by Pedro Panetta.
